I wish to skin my aplication and have noticed that there appears to be no obvious way to do this.

I am used to skinning files for java and wondered if there was any way of changing the appearance of the 'standard' delphi7 application.
It includes skinning control, visual skin maker, sample source code under VC, C#, VB.Net, Delphi, Visual Basic, C++ Builder and Win32 SDK, as well as a technical manual. The skinning library, appface.dll, is the kernel component; it can skin all the created windows automatically in the target application. This time i will post some of Component of Delphi 7. What is Alpha Skin? Alpha Skins are tools on Delphi to make your project beautifull and more nice,if it see by users. This like plugin on Delphi. If you want, download it here: Alpha Skins V.9.14.

Have you looked at SpTBXLib?http://www.silverpointdevelopment.com/sptbxlib/index.htm

I use the Developer Express Skins library. This works well for standard components, and their own. You can create custom skins, or use their standard ones which include nicely designed haloween and winter ones. They also have a ribbon control to make your app Office 2007 look.

I've seen positive comments about AppFace, but I have not tried it.

Looks like there are some relevant links in this forum thread

Appface looks promising with the extreem looks and the need for just 2 lines of code. but thats a lot of money to make four buttons and a editbox look nice.linkrank does the same thing but does not look as good and costs even more this time about 180. Install app from unidentified developer mac.
Again both seem to boast that you only need 2 lines of source code and theme file.the link to given forum did not seem to yeild any results apart from these two.
Would be br8 to find a free version even if i have to put in more work myself.
Edit: 'suipack' is yet another tool for the same job
Albania and his friends pdf to word. Re-Edit: VCL seems to be the basis of what is needed here some copenents listed onhttp://www.vclcomponents.com/catalog/Delphi_Skin
Re-Edit-2: found a freeware version here
Re-Edit-3: added coponent but not only is there no help file with this it seems to be incomplete as throws a cannot find 'skins.pas' exceptionhttp://www.vclcomponents.com/Delphi/Form_Enhancement/VclSkin-info.htmlgone evaluate it and post results back up.

After spending hours installing it or not, as the case was, installed the unicodecontroler and the toolbar2000 but the toolbar200 seemed to have a issue with the library path and after i fixed it it would not alow me to reinstall, i had to do this as SpTBXLibDsgn_*.dpk would not install due to not finding reference of tb2kdsgn_d7.dpk.
this results in me going ARRRRRGGGHHHHHH and bashing my head on the wall, the only method for creating skins for free in delphi7 comes as 7 manual installs(as a noob this was hard)and thenn when i make a boo boo it wont let be uninstall, ouch
looks like there will be no styles for me.
Edit: if anyone wants to go for styles i seriously suggest the multiinstaller that i didnt see untill i had currupted my tbk2000 package :(

AFAIK, there are two Delphi components available to skin your application without requiring any code, but both are not free

Fastreport For Delphi 7
I would like to know what is the best skinning library for Delphi application for you. I'm looking to WinXP/Windows Vista/Windows 7 compatibilities, so the application doesn't crash or work weird because of the skins. I have tried Theme Engine but it doen't work fine in Windows Vista.
I'm currently using Delphi 2006.
Thanks.

I used the VCLSkin component for an extended period with excellent results in Win xp, vista and 7. is extremely easy to use (you just drag the component to your main form to skin the entire application), fast, reliable and has lots of skins.

DevExpress has a great skinning library. You can use their default skins or create your own. Supports all versions of Windows, AFAIK. Have a look at their site for more information.

https://axatcrr.weebly.com/quicktime-player-10-for-mac.html. I've been using AlphaControls for a while, it's pretty slick and has worked well for me under everything from Win2000 to Win7. It's still under active development, so if you hit a bug, they're there to try and fix it. :)

I have worked with both Theme Engine and Skin Engine from KSDev, with various success, although unlike you wrote it worked find in vista for me.
I personally found the skin editor to be a pestilence to work with, it was full of bugs, unstable at best, little to know documentation, but still more stable than the skin editor from Skincrafter.
https://gqbecv.weebly.com/how-much-data-to-download-an-album-on-spotify.html. As an alternative I know of a skin component called Alpha Controls, however I have not tried this myself, Skin Crafter whose editor I briefly mentioned above, also has a skinning library, my personal experience with this however is not the best.
I have not tried VCL skin which PRUZ mentioned myself so I cannot compare these engines to it, we looked at its specifications briefly when we were on the lookout for skin libraries for our application, but its lack of translucency was a too large burden for our designers * sigh *. Sven bomwollen sheep game online. Anyway I just wanted to give you some extra alternatives in case you needed some.
